This appears in the form of a Pompadour for the cow. This references the food of shaved ice, whilst also exploring the 'vintage' feel to the design with the iconic 50s hairstyle.
The colour palette has a modern feel, with the pastel tones creating a fresh identity.

I decided focus on light as a concept to reflect the purpose of a 'Spotlight'.
Stars go throughout the company name, and rays of light beam from the peak of the I, to form a circle which frames the logo perfectly.
A shooting star beams and intertwines through letters, to reflect the spear piercing the A within the 'Spears' branding, and this is done in a youthful and energetic way.")

Furthermore, 'Replays' is suggested by a subtle spinning arrow replay icon, and the arrow is also used within the 'S' of replays for a unique lettermark.")

I took this component and made it form the letter I of Spotlight, as well as a Spotlight itself. This component blends the 2 logos coherently.
Furthermore, the O is a playful variation of the smiling theatre mask, further accentuating the youthful and performing arts aspects.")

A Ukiyo-e stamp style adds a lot of unique and identifiable features within the logo.
Ukiyo-e itself runs off dedication, carving out wood ready to be printed. This reflects the idea of their brand perfectly, with Takumi referencing the 'extraordinary level of expertise through years of practice, discipline and dedication.'
The Ensō circle framing the logo 'is associated with enlightenment, emptiness, freedom, and the state of no-mind', symbolising peace, harmony and acceptance.
I also maintained the red and white colour palette which is iconic Japanese colours, but also added a white on black variation, showing the versatility of the design.")

Conceptually I blended housing with nature, with the centre focus point being the tree rings.")

Conceptually this included 2 hay bales connected in the centre to form the S of Straw, but also present the strength of bond within the business.")

2 key components being the leaves to form peaks to the start and end of the brand name, adding identifiable components, and using splash of colour to grab attention.")
About
I primarily create Poster designs, or Graphics for merchandising use. These feature meticulously crafter styles which relate well to the brand I am creating for, accentuating their identity or pushing it down new avenues.
I graduated in a Fine Art course, and during university I completed work experience at Fluid Design. Ever since then continued pursuing my newly-found passion and skill set.
