Background information
Name to incorporate in the logo
Maples & Richey PLLC
Slogan to incorporate in the logo
Description of the organization and its target audience
We practice real estate law primarily, although we have a general practice. The majority of our work is residential and recreation land closings. In some states, the companies that do our type of work are called “title companies”.
Notes
1. Feel free to keep or drop the "PLLC" and the "&".
2. We are probably not going to pick a logo with a (a) home, (b) scales of justice, or (c) column (unless really tasteful).
3. If the abbreviated MR is used as part of our logo, please don't make it look like “mister”.
4. Although it is uncommon in law firm logos, we are not opposed to symbols incorporated into our logo if it fits and looks good.
5. We part of the design needs to be easily turned into a favicon.
6. If you can make it look crisp, clean, and professional, all of these symbols could be cool: (a) bear, (b) bull, (c) dragon, (d) wolf, (e) eagle, (f) majestic fire breathing beasts, and (g) mountains, etc. No tigers, lions, or cats though.

If you use fonts that require a license, confirm with the client they're ok with it. For licensing reasons, it is better to provide your client with information on how to acquire the font rather than providing the actual files.
Text in logos should be converted to outlines.
