About us
口もと審美協会 Pan–mouth Maxillofacial Aesthetic Association のロゴをお願いします。 歯科医師を中心とした革新的な学会を立ち上げます。 口もと審美協会の設立趣意書の一部です。 ＜歯科治療の最終ゴールは口もと審美です＞ 歯の保存や義歯の装着は、それ自体が目的の１つですが、患者さんは審美的には必ずしも満足しているわけではありません。口腔疾患は口腔の機能低下のみならず、口もとの審美性の低下にもつながります。患者さんが求めるゴールは機能性の再建までではなくて、口もとの審美までです。 現在の歯科治療は、「口腔内を診て口もとを診ない」というスタイルが一般的ですが、歯科治療を通じて患者さんのクオリティー･オブ･ライフを向上されるためには、口腔内だけを診ていては、片手落ちの治療であり、患者に選ばれるドクターにはなりません。 口もと審美は口腔外科、歯科補綴、矯正歯科、口腔インプラント等の治療の仕上げに不可欠です。口もとの美しさを確立するためには、審美という視点で、歯の治療、咬合機能の再建が必要です。 歯科治療の仕上げである口もと審美修復は審美補綴や咬合治療から、口腔外科など、さらには皮膚科や形成外科など医科と連携した包括的知識と技術を駆使して行われるべきものであり、まさに口腔を専門に治療する歯科医師の使命です。 特に、ほうれい線、口もとのしわ、たるみは歯の残存状態や咬合と密接に関係して口もとに顕著に表れます。インレー、クラウン、ブリッジ、義歯、インプラント治療とともに、顔の要である口もとのたるみ、しわに対して、高い改善効果のある最新の診療技術を駆使して、患者さんに満足して頂ける歯科治療の仕上げとして口もと審美修復の普及を目指すのが、本協会の活動の中心です。
