About us

Music band, french and english alternative rock It could be a logo, text, draw and/or photo. « La dérive » means many things in french. We can translate as leeway (at sea, strong winds may cause more leeway) or the way how run the world (in this world adrift). That also mean a daggerboard. We can also translate as how the world is running, that mean not straight but in a dangerous way (pollution, wars,...). IDEA 1 It could be the sea and the text in movement. Maybe letters scripted, there’s also a relation to find between the sea and « la dérive ». IDEA 2 There is 6 letters in « dérive », it could be 2 up, 2 middle and 2 down. That mean 6 big letters maybe laid in the middle of a bed of waste, in the sea. It could be children's cubes (or something else) who form « dérive ». IDEA 3 SURPRISE ME !!! C monogram logo for visual effects company

I love creating unique monograms so used this approach for Colony Visual Effects. As company is working on visual effects and making impossible stuff, possible, I decided to play with C, made with Escher-esque approach creating bending letter with impossible geometry theme. It works really great with subtle gradient giving this effect another dimension, but it works really great in single color as well. I took extra effort and created couple mockups showing this design used in various situations and in the end payed of.
