COPY CATS and those who PLAGIARIZE will be booted from the contest and reported. } DESIGN DESCRIPTION--- Illustrate an original 1-color tattoo, based on the ensō, or “an incomplete circle,” to be inked on the underside of two men’s wrists. Tattoo Style: American Traditional, Neo Traditional, Nu Skool, or Dotwork (NOT: tribal, geometric, or anime) Colors: Single color grayscale (Black ink) Size and Location: Design will be tattooed on underside of wrist, at between 35mm - 50mm (2 inches) in diameter or width. Creative Direction: The core of the design is to begin with the ensō, or the Incomplete Circle. The ensō symbolized absolute enlightenment, strength, elegance, the universe, and ‘the void.’ It is characterized by a minimalism born of Japanese aesthetics. The circle being incomplete, allows for movement and development as well as the perfection of all things. The ensō is a sacred symbol in the Zen school of Buddhism and is also known as the ‘Circle of Enlightenment. The Kanji for ensō translates as ‘Mutual Circle’ or ‘Circle of Togetherness.’ The Feeling and Sentiment for this new original tattoo design is to be: “Masculine”, “Adventure”, “Love”, “Speed”, “Union”, “Explosive”, “Winding” (curves), “Eternal”, “Danger”, and “Trust”.
