We are looking for a business-graphic for the master program "business information systems" that schould be attractive for young people without technical background who are to be interested in this program. _________________________________________________________________________ DEUTSCHE VERSION: Die FHNW ist eine der führenden Fachhochschulen in der Schweiz und ist in der Lehre, Forschung, Weiterbildung und Dienstleistung tätig – innovativ und praxisorientiert. Wir suchen eine Graphik für das Masterstudium "Business Information Systems" (Wirtschaftsinformatik). Sie soll attraktiv sein für junge Menschen ohne technischen Hintergrund, die sich potentiell für ein solches Masterstudium interessieren könnten.

(deutsche Übersetzung siehe unten) We need a business graphic for a master program in "business information systems" at a university of applied sciences. The graphic should help to explain the meaning of business information systems, providing the core contents of the program. The graphic should look clear and professional. The graphic should illustrate that business information systems uses technology (information systems) for human needs (enterprises, organizations or individuals). It shouldn't be too technical. Just on the contrary, the social side of the business information systems should be stressed: team work, the relation between technical solutions and costumer needs, consumer orientation etc. The graphic should include three highly related elements of business information systems: Human, Business and Technology. The connection between these elements must be easily visible. The slogan "Shaping the future" should imply that the business information systems are used to shape the future. The title is "Master of Science in Business Information Systems". So far, we’ve discussed three different ideas (see attached graphics). ___________________________________________ DEUTSCHE VERSION: Wir brauchen eine Graphik für den Master-Studiengang «Business Information Systems» (Wirtschaftsinformatik) an der Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz. Die Graphik soll helfen zu erklären, was unter «Business Information Systems» zu verstehen ist und was die wichtigsten Inhalte des Studiums sind. Die Graphik soll klar und professionell daher kommen. Die Graphik soll zeigen, dass Wirtschaftsinformatik Technologie (information systems) für menschliche Bedürfnisse und Wünsche (Unternehmen, Organisationen oder Einzelpersonen) einsetzt. Sie soll nicht zu technisch sein, sondern gerade die soziale Seite der Wirtschaftsinformatik betonen: Teamarbeit, Konsumentenorientierung, der Einsatz von Technik für Kundenwünsche etc. Die Graphik soll drei Elemente enthalten, die eng verbunden sind: Human, Business und Technology (die Begriffe müssen in Englisch sein). Die Verbindung zwischen diesen Elementen muss gut sichtbar sein. Der Titel der Graphik ist «Master of Science in Business Information Systems». Ausserdem muss sie den Slogan «Shaping the future» enthalten, der zeigt, dass mit Wirtschaftsinformatik die Zukunft gestaltet werden kann. Bisher haben wir drei verschiedene Ideen diskutiert (s. angehängte Graphiken).
