Rickg086 got their new web page design by running a design contest:
New Website Design For Auto Parts Finder
Check out Rickg086's Web page design contest…
We supply a online parts location tool. Private/Business customers are able to submit a free parts request that is sent to suppliers. Suppliers then reply and the customer can be contacted via email, sms or phone. NEW AND USED PARTS, BUT MAINLY USED! It is an australian only website that deals with new/used car and light commercial truck parts. Think I-Select for auto parts.
Black or dark background www.apple.com www.99designs.com.au (lol) http://www.toyota.com.au/home http://www.ford.com.au/ http://www.carsales.com.au/
Check out www.autopartsfinder.com.au/demo for an idea. This is a demo site that does not do anything but has the main pages. I need to have a black background with the auto parts logo but apart from that feel free to suprise me. There should be room for a banner at the top for ads or website specails. The menu structure should be simular to the apple website (horizontal) Will need to include the following links Home Parts Request Login Join View Requests About Us Contact Us Product Disclosure FAQ Only the important stuff should be in the main menu ie, Home, Parts Request, Join, Login and About Us. Website code will most likely be created with joomla CMS. Work your magic people. I got my logo though this site and im very happy with it. Hope you can come up with something special. Any questions please let me know i will respond very quickly ***UPDATE*** Logo should be displayed at the top along side the ad box. Ad should say something like: Join Auto Parts finder today! Free for all suppliers, business's and customers! (There should be a "free" ribbon on the top right hand corner on the angle) Main menu (located towards the top of the page, Below logo and advertisment) Home, Parts Request, Join, About Us, Login, "Site Search textbox". Secondary menu (located at the bottom of the page) Home, View Requests, Product Disclosure, FAQ, Contact Us Main page must contain the Parts request form: (this can be displayed down the right hand side or across the middle) Customer details Name Email Phone Postcode Contact method Any, Phone, Email, Sms (These should be described with images not text, Ie Envelope for email etc) Part Details Make Model Year Shape Badge Description Upload Photo Range Submit Reset Other images/links should include 1.) New Dealer Search - Find your nearest new genuine parts dealer 2.) New & Used Supplier Search - Find your nearest wreckers and auto recyclers 3.) FAQ - Why uses Auto Parts Finder? How does it all work? Must contain at least one large picture and 3 small pictures. A faint map of australia somewhere in the background would be nice. Finally, anything else that you feel will add value... :)
I have the psd for the logo if you require it. simular websites www.autoparts.com.au www.partsonline.com.au
