Unique Webshop design needed for a fashion start-up

Janet + George is a fashion company for the designers of tomorrow. We represent upcoming fashion designers around the globe to online consumers. Janet + George offer high-end clothing, accessories, and home decoration products for men and women that are looking for the next upcoming designer label.

The main focus is the home page and the product pages:

Janet + George is a new company which sells fashion products from upcoming fashion designers online. We are currently setting up a new website and want you to come up with a unique design. The key words are a clean, elegant, luxurious and usability look. The web shop must present a new, refreshing way of product presentation with a large focus on showcasing merchandise through photos

Please have a look at the detailed word document attached to this briefing. We already have a logo and a house style, which should be the basis for the design.

The website should be implemented with an easy to use Content Management System/web shop software package. I want to be able to change the menu and add new subheadings in the menu when we have new products for sale.

The design must show examples of pages with:

-Homepage with Header, Footer and Body
-Menu style with the submenu’s
-About Janet + George
-Newcomers; new products in stock
-Designers; Profiles of the designers with short bio’s and pictures of their products.
-Women
(Submenu pages are: Dresses, Skirts, and Tops etc.) These are the product pages and are key for the website. There should be a zooming option to see the merchandise up close/360 degrees, and the possibility to later integrate videos of models wearing the clothes on a catwalk. Other options: refine by designer, product type and price range, ‘You may also like’ option of examples of related products.
- Men
(Submenu pages are: Coats, Jackets, Jeans, and Shirts etc.) For the rest it’s the same idea as the Women pages.
-Home decor
(Submenu pages are Accessories) For the rest it’s the same idea as the Women and Men pages.
-Get the look; Overview of the mix-and-match of the merchandise. Done as a mood board, i.e.: http://www.polyvore.com/
-Blog; Fashion blog about the latest news, trends, and designers. Also spotlight on our latest spotted design talent.

The website will be: http://www.janetandgeorge.com and preference for the logo/house style is; logo with white writing and red background.

Important note: the website is a WEBSHOP and will be IMPORTANT to attract and retain customers. It should be UNIQUE and not boring!!!
