TechTroops got their new web page design by running a design contest:
TechTroops seeks GREAT NEW website

Home and Small Business IT / Computer Support (Sydney only).
The successful designer will wow me as I am not really sure exactly what I am looking for so I need inspiration... Much like any viewer of a website. I don't mind www.geeks2u.com.au but don't take too much from that as the winning design might be nothing like it.
I am looking for a fun yet professionally laid out home Page that engages the viewer. The finished product will feature dynamic content showcasing our services. 3 main services cover Home / Home Office IT Support, Small Business IT Support and Alliances. These need to feature prominently and will take the viewer to (almost) subsites specific to their click. I would like testimonials to feature prominently as well clear visibility of a BOOK ONLINE option and obviously our phone number (1300 876677 or 1300 TROOPS). Other things I would like to see include: A dynamic display some of our current clients' logos. Simple newsletter subscription form (Name and email address). Social networking integration. Our current site is OLD and shouldn't be used as anything more than a reference as to what we do. I will upload our logos and some basic images. Some terms we commonly use are: Rapid Response Computer Support / Call in the troops / Ready for immediate deployment / Making Peace with your technology. Be sure to check out the uploads and also the car photos that you can download from http://www.techtroops.com.au/tt_cars.zip.
I have uploaded a concept (concept.jpg) that is kind of on the right page but failed to hit the mark. It includes all the elements we like but fails to really engage. I debated uploading it but why not. Feel free to use it as a guide only. You can also download a whole lot of photos of our cars from here - http://www.techtroops.com.au/tt_cars.zip

And then… they selected a winner!
ngMedia was superb. Top-notch work, professionally done, quick turn-around and always very responsive. He exceeded our expectations in terms of the caliber of his designs and also as far as his work ethic. The designs were very original and stood out relative to a very competitive field of other great contestants. I look forward to engaging with him in the future and would highly recommend him to others.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
