SEOTidy | http://www.seotidy.com
SEOTidy allows Small Business Owners and Marketing Professionals to check websites for the use of over 150 search engine optimization best practices. An SEO report and SEO grade is provided to help improve organic search result rankings. The site will be http://www.seotidy.com.
Small Business Owners and Marketing Professionals will use SEOTidy to help them evaluate and improve their websites for search engines. The look should be professional and inviting. People using the services should feel they are receiving quality and value.
A home page with the primary call to action for people to try the service. The home page should have sections on the page for...
1. Grade Website -- the call to action for people to try the service.
2. Description -- the description of the service.
3. Benefits -- the benefits of using the service.
4. Endorsements -- quotes from people using the service.
5. Pricing -- Possibly including pricing info for upgrades levels of reporting.
Notes:
A. Free -- Let people know they can use the basic service for free.
B. Tabs -- Have some tabs at the top for navigation to "Grade Site", "Browse Reports", "How We Grade" and "About Us".
C. My Reports -- This needs to fit in somewhere appropriate when signed in.
D. Header -- Standard for most of the pages with some not having the tabs for navigation since they will be showing reports with their own navigation.
E. Footer -- Standard for most of the pages with a small sitemap.
My favorite site design for something remotely similar is http://knowem.com. I like the sections of the knowem home page including the description, pricing, etc.
I also like the promotion, navigation, color and other features of http://crowdspring.com.
You can see the SEOTidy logo contest at http://www.crowdspring.com/project/…practices/.
Typography and color are important as well as the target size being 1024 x 768 or larger.
Buttons should help with conversions, maybe something similar to Amazon buttons. I would like primary and secondary buttons as part of the design, even if secondary buttons aren't on the home page.
