Matthew Palma Photography - http://www.mattpalmaphoto.com
We have been traditional landscape photographers for about 5 years and have been making the move into Wedding & Portrait work now for the past 1 1/2 of those years. After assisting and second shooting with others during this time we have begun to break out on our own on the wedding and portrait side and need to have a professional website.
We are located in the New York City - New Jersey - Philadelphia markets, and are currently focused on the wedding & portrait side of the business (Though we still working the Landscape side as well). The Audience here will likely be the bride aged 23-35 (mid to high income wedding), so there needs to be some appeal to women of that age/income demographic.
We believe that a wedding/portrait website needs to focus mainly on the photographer's images. In general brides are searching for a particular style of photography and price range. Our target audience would be concerned with quality and style of the images before price and the website should have a style and feel to reflect that priority. It shall be elegant but modern - our logo already exists as does the business card - When people see and feel the business card they assume the website is must be really classy and elegant (but slightly edgy) - I am looking to achieve consistency in branding and therefore the website should reflect the style image of the business card ( http://www.mattpalmaphoto.com/MPP_B…_Front.jpg http://www.mattpalmaphoto.com/MPP_B…d_Back.jpg (be sure to view in a color managed application as we seem to be getting different results in different browsers)). The bride needs to feel confident that she will be 'taken care of' by us on her wedding day and the style of the design should reflect that if possible. We come from a fine art photography background and that should be reflected here as well. Not to be as prominent at this time, but not neglected is the portrait side of the business - Families, babies, and children. In general the business is family oriented, personal, and should not have a corporate look and feel. Links to sections I can think of at this time are: Galleries, Bio, Blog - Other Sites
Designs shall be submitted in Layered PSD & PNG formats.
