Palmy Cycles
Palmy Cycles is the new e-commerce outlet for an existing high street bike shop, and will retail road, mountain and BMX bikes, parts and accessories.
The existing shop has been in business for many years, and we’d like the new site to reflect the quality of our well regarded experience and friendly customer service.
The new site will be – http://www.palmycycles.com.au
Nope.
Home Page design.
The website, which will run on WordPress, will showcase our product range so needs to be visually appealing, while maintaining usability.
As such, search and navigation functions are to be highlighted throughout the site, while provision should also be made for a separated standard nav (eg, home, about, contact) and a product category nav.
We would like a site that is clean to read, easy to use, navigate and search, and makes the customer feel comfortable ordering online.
With the home page content including:
An image gallery to display new and best selling products or special offers
Thumbnail images of feature products with descriptions and direct links to purchase / add to cart.
Testimonials
Video
Home page sidebar content to include:
The product category nav - similar to http://www.chainreactioncycles.com
Contact details (phone number / email address etc)
An email list signup box
Links to blog posts
Facebook “Fan” box
Link to Twitter profile (latest tweet?)
The standard navigation bar should have:
Home, Our Gear, Latest News, FAQ< About Us, Contact Us
We’d like a footer containing some links (of top-level main navigation links), Site Map and a copyright notice.
Feel free to add your own thoughts in - client is very receptive to fresh ideas.
