Meetifyr is a fast growing web app which helps groups of people find the best time to meet up.
We want to redesign our main event page which is already used by thousands of people.
Very broad target audience, young or old, rich or poor – anyone who wants to arrange to do something with friends.
The app is aimed at friends doing things together, rather than business users arranging meetings – so nothing too corporate.
Meetifyr is a free and simple way for people to arrange to do something together.
All events in Meetifyr are managed through the event page, it's this page we want to redesign.
In a nutshell we want:
A more fun and friendly version of what we have (http://bit.ly/cdacwF) and one which also ties in well with our new logo (attached, thanks 99 Designs!)
The page we have now works but its a bit boring!
We want to take it to the next level with a friendly, fun new design!!!
The design should be; simple, modern and fun.
We want it to be a service you'd be happy sharing with your friends.
We’d like to make sure the page looks good when its not got any data in it, here’s how it looks at the moment without data http://bit.ly/eqi9ZV
See the attached screenshot of areas we'd like to improve on the current design.
The availability matrix at the bottom of the event page takes the full browser width where-by the other fields at the top are a fixed width.
I've attached another mock up of how I'd like to lay this out.
The main activities the page accomodates are:
- Giving a name and optionally description to the event
- Giving a location and optionally adding a map for the event
- Setting the date range for when to try and schedule the event
- Offering links to share the page with friends
- An area for attendees of the event to leave comments/chat area
- An area to show which days are most suitable for the event
There is also the attendee availability matrix, which needs to:
-Provide a way for new attendee to be added to the event
-Allow attendees to show when they’re busy and which days they prefer to meet on
We don't think the availability matrix will change that much (maybe just colours) but we would like to make the list of attendees to the event more prominent (see attached screen shot).
If you do have some design ideas for presenting the availability of attendees, we’d love to see them!
