The Mayor's Gala
I am working really closely with the creative team of the Mayor's Gala to help them bring their vision to life. I am a developer but have a strong sense of design.
The personality that we are trying to communicate is clean, classy and corporate.
The Mayor's Gala is huge event and each year it has a different theme, however, since the theme changes every year, we need a home base website that looks beautiful to explain the charity and event as well as share our vision.
We don't want it to offend but don't want it to be boring. We want it to look amazing! Bring your creativity to the table.
We will also need more design work in the future, therefore if you are willing there will likely be more work down the line.
We currently do NOT have a website, however, http://breakthrough.org.uk/
has elements that I really like.
- Corporate type that could be potential sponsors
- Existing sponsors - a place to show off their generous contributions
- The public - To create awareness and share our charities vision and show them where the money raised is going.
Essentially we want to show people the history, the vision and give users or sponsors a way to see more about the event and the charity behind it.
Navigation (could change +- 1 - names aren't supper important)
- History
- Ticket sales
- Gallery
- Sponsors
- Gala 2010
- About
- Contact
We don't really have a logo so text might be better for branding purposes - The Mayor's Gala is fine.
Incorporate a place to capture emails. Like a little form with name and email. Keep it very small. Should not be the focal point.
Readability is very important.
The site should be wide enough to feature high resolution photos and videos.
Files need to be delivered as PSDs in the end. EPS is okay but PSD is preferred.
No Free CSS templates please!
I give feedback quick so please bug me if you have any questions.
For inspiration, I really like this site and has a lot of our elements.
Thank you so much
