This is a twitter shirt. That is to say that at some place on the shirt, it MUST say @johndoename very clearly.
The rest of this design is up to you. This contest is going to be blind because creativity is a huge factor here and we want to protect your ideas. This shirt should have some sort of witty phrase/question or a design on it in addition to the @username. You can use text, pictures, or anything else that you might be inspired by.
For example, one of our other shirts has a silhouette of Moses, holding up his hands and it says "follow me."
We LOVE: Clever, Geeky, Witty, Clean, Cheeky, Smart, Ironic, Bold
We DISLIKE: Crude, Profane, Offensive, Messy, Inappropriate, Obvious, and Trite
Please do NOT use the words: Twitter, Tweet, or any of the other Twitter copyrighted logos.
Things we love: birds, branches, clouds, novelties, nature, silhouettes, trees, smart typography, awesome fonts, vintage feel, retro, etc.
This design will be printed on a colored or a black shirt. We try to stay away from printing on a white shirt as it washes people out. Feel free to present your design on a colored or black shirt that you think would look great with your design. If you absolutely think your design looks awesome on a white shirt, then present it that way.
We prefer designs that are 2 colors or less, 3 at MOST. We think it's better to use the palette of a colored shirt as a way to incorporate more color into your design like this: http://bit.ly/w3dsq7.
For examples of our design aesthetic see here: http://www.merchline.com/fullbleed/
Please be creative with your placement of the image/words on the shirt and please ensure that @johndoe is clear.
We LOVE to give feedback, so if you have something you think would be great, post it and we will let you know if you are headed in the right direction. Thanks for playing and we look forward to the submissions and giving lots of feedback! Stoked. We are releasing shirts on a regular basis so we would love to find a designer we can work with over and over again.
EDITED TO ADD:
Please consider full bleed style designs. For example where the bulk of the design runs from the bottom of the shirt up. Like this: http://www.merchline.com/fullbleed/…4189.c.htm
