Liberalizing Cities | From the Ground Up
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We run a website, social media, and podcast that advocates for reform of land-use regulation (zoning) and transportation reform to make cities more affordable and vibrant. We also organize an annual conference.
The website and social media is read by cosmopolitan city dwellers who are interested in urban economic issues. They are typically college educated or current college students, well-informed, and often young. Readers are a mix of cosmopolitan progressives and libertarians.

Other color requirements
I'm color-blind, but am deferential to designers and my team to help with color issues. Currently I use a green.
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
I like the font, and imagery of an object emerging from disparate parts. Instead of a bird, an skyline emerging in a similar fashion would be fantastic.
I don't love it. it's a little too traditional looking
I like the font, and imagery of emergence that separates the two words.
I like how it's laid out with the logo on the left and words on two lines
The font might be a little too modern, but I like the logo. A logo like this that resembled a city would be cool...
We won't always include the slogan. You can view the current website at marketurbanism.com. The logo will be an abstraction of an emerging city skyline. I want to avoid any connotation of "constraint" unless it is breaking free from constraint. (so, putting a box or circle around a skyline should be avoided, unless the skyline is piercing or breaking the shape to emerge out)
The logo will sometimes be included on videos and images.
It's ideal if the logo can look good on the header of the current website theme though this may be redesigned in the future. I can easily change the theme colors accordingly.
PS, I'm color blind but not color-blind people will help me. I currently use a green, as it relates to the environment, and economics.
