Description of the product

An innovative new take on the straight mute for trumpets. It has a slightly more mellow sound than traditional metal mutes, fantastic playability and tuning across the range, whilst being aesthetically pleasing.

The Brief

Design needs

Shelf-ready packaging (that doubles as postal packaging) for the mutes. It needs to look good on a shelf, be luxurious, and make you want to try it out. Will need a barcode (5065005188073). Images available from the hawkinsmutes.com website. This will be the first of a series of packaging boxes - the design should be easily adjustable by a trained monkey (me) for other products in the line. Image and name on the front, a paragraph of blurb (https://hawkinsmutes.com/product/bb-straight-mute-orchestral/) on the back. Blurb on the back could be covered with a sticker for translations.

What to avoid

It's B-flat (not Bb) so use the correct musical notation in the name.

Package dimensions

A crash-lock box internal dims: 150mm high 100mm x 100mm square base.
