How NBBSI started their print or packaging design journey
This is going to our Business Capability Statement (aka Corporate Brochure), all the content has been drafted and we need a designer to step in and make it look “attractive”. As we are a tech company designing is something we feel is best left up to the pros.
For those unfamiliar with what a Business Capability Statement (BCS) is, the best way to think about it is that a BCS is to a business what a Resume is to an individual. It’s a 20k foot snapshot of the company’s product/service offerings, along with some background and contact information.
The purpose of this document is to get the receiving party interested enough to want to want more information and contact us, not necessarily be ready to buy (though if you can create something that good we wouldn’t deny it). We feel like the content is there, now we need a designer to make it appealing so that it grabs the recipient’s attention.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
This document isn’t targeted toward a specific vertical market but more so specific roles within a company. The verbiage has been written in a manner in which it will appeal to senior management, more specifically the operations managers and technology leaders of the company.
This is going to be a standard 8.5” x 11” sheet of paper that will be distributed at events, included in mailings (both electronic and physical), and things of the like. We would love it if you could fit all of the content on one side of the page, but it’s a lot so it’s understandable if you can’t without degrading the design. We only ask that if you must push content on to a 2nd page (the back) that you designate at least 1/3 to ½ of the page as an empty area for notes to written by the recipient.
*NOTE* This is only the first paragraph of the requirements, view the Guidelines document included in the attached zip file for full specs. PLEASE read the full spec as it includes descriptions for all the included files.
