New Marquee Design for the Cardinal Theater

The Cardinal Theater is a private cinema located in a home in Northern California.

The goal of the project is to design an elegant theater marquee for a private home cinema. The marquee should harken back to the golden age of movie cinema's and portray a modern interpretation of the traditional marquee, the design should be architectural and elegant. The name is the "Cardinal Theater" and the marquee has a 13 1/2" x 71" rectangular opening and is backlit by a dim-able florescent light. The primary colors in the theater are red (cardinal red, close to a merlot color), light cherry wood, light colored carpet (picture attached) and black. The goal is timeless design that will withstand the test of time. Your creativity and time is greatly appreciated. The rationale behind the "Cardinal Theater" name is that we live a few blocks from Stanford University. The sports teams are known as the Stanford Cardinals, although ironically the mascot is a tree. The goal is not to utilize the Stanford logo we just like the name. The completed design files will be sent to a local professional sign printer and the design will be printed on a material appropriate for a backlit sign.

The theater will be used primarily for family movie nights and for our 14 year old twins (boy and a girl) to entertain their friends.
