We sell a road safety product call Driver Fatigue Alarm (DFA). It will alert the driver with a loud sound or strong vibration when he/she nod off while driving. It's battery operated and available in 2 different modles, sound or vibration. Go to http://www.driverfatiguealarm.com.au/video to see a demo of the product.
We are bringing out a new model which has 2 functions in one device, sound and vibration. Another advantage of the new model is it's rechargable and a car charger included.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
We would like to design the new packaging box for this new model, see attached photos. Photo1 is an example of the finished look and feel of the box from another product. Photo2 is a design of which we don't really like, but it will allow you see the layout of the design. We like the 3D affect and vibrant design and colours of photo3 and photo4 .
The box has a clear plastic cover in the centre which is raise 1.5cm above the surface displaying the DFA.
The product will sell in retail shops so it will be display on the shelves competing with many other prodcuts and we are looking for a design that JUMP OUT at the customer that says buy me, because i can help save you and your family's lives. Maybe a 3D effect or something that represent the latest product on the market.
We also like to have the QR code at the front of the box. The box dimensions are 14cm square, 9cm for square for the centre cut out and 4cm is the thickness (height) of the box.
Feel free to be creative. Our demographics is anyone that drives, but our sales have shown more suitable for people at the age 30s and above, both male and female.
