dslade got their new other design by running a design contest:
"Sleepless In Seattle" movie poster for a marriage proposal.
Check out dslade's Other design contest…
This is a project involving a marriage proposal. I am looking to design a custom movie poster for my fiancé.
What's your vision?
I am looking to make a movie poster (27 inches by 40 inches). The poster will be a parody of the "Sleepless In Seattle" movie poster. With myself and my fiancé photoshopped into the places of the man (Tom Hanks) and woman (Meg Ryan). It will require: convincingly photoshop our faces/hair onto the figures on the poster. matching the fonts of the original poster and creating new titles and phrasing. photoshop a photo of a cat and a dog on the poster replace the skylines of the original poster with a skyline of Portland, Oregon and Sun Valley, Idaho. Save the file in an .AI or .PDF format that can be taken to a printer and printed. (300 dpi? 600 dpi?) IMPORTANTLY, make all of the edits and photoshopping so they are high enough resolution that the poster does not appear blurry or pixellated. I will attach a copy of the actual Sleepless in Seattle poster. I will also make available photos of myself and my fiancé. And photos of the cat and the dog. I may need help getting stock photos of Portland, Oregon and Sun Valley, Idaho for the skylines.
Although this is a fairly straight forward parody of the Sleepless In Seattle poster, it must look authentic when it is printed out. This is for the most important day in my fiancé's life!
