Natural-looking Illustration of Indian Woman for Package Design
Check out sudoit's Other Graphic Design contest…
'Mamaneem' is a new brand of 100% pure herbal hair-dye powder, hair-treatment powder, hair-washing powder and related hair-care products for the urban India market. These herbal powders have been used in India and elsewhere for centuries to dye, treat and wash hair; they are traditional, gentle and effective alternatives to synthetic hair dyes, treatments and shampoos. Our brand promises beautiful, healthy hair using traditional products made with the purest quality herbs. Each package will contain 100 grams of dry herbal powder which customers can easily mix with water and then apply to their hair.
Urban women in India, from their late 20s onwards. Mamaneem products will be sold in stores and from websites. The Illustration should help customers identify Mamaneem as a trusted provider of traditional Indian hair-care products
The Goal: create a natural-looking illustration that is very similar to MamaneemIllustration.png We are happy with the illustration's: - proportions - overall pose, sari, jewelery etc - general color scheme We are unhappy with the illustration's: - right shoulder, right-upperarm and the foreshortening of the right arm and right hand. We'd prefer if the right-upperarm was vertical. It needs to look natural - nose. - skin tones/colors. - lack of sharpness/detail. Please focus your efforts on fixing 'MamaneemIllustration.png' - we're willing to consider a vector-based (e.g. done in Illustrator) version of the illustration or a bitmap version(e.g. done in Photoshop) - which ever tool/style you prefer for your illustration/work. Background: the current illustration was done by hand by a local artist in India who, alas, has given up trying to naturally depict the foreshortened right arm & shoulder (trust me, we've gone through several versions). Worry not - the original artist was fully paid and we have full-copyright for this art. NOTE: as a positive example of a face, nose, eyes, mouth, skin tones/colors and sari/body that we DO like, please see 'Illustration-GivaRiceBranOilPackage.jpeg' - BUT again: please focus your efforts on fixing 'MamaneemIllustration.png' NOTE: do NOT submit a package design - for this contest we're *only* interested in the illustration of the woman.
