How Channingpowell started their other graphic design journey
OK Action News & Good News, Oklahoma!
I'm a TV writer (for WHITE COLLAR on USA) and I'm shooting a short film with our White Collar editor that takes place at two competing TV news stations. One, a Fox-news-like local news show, and the other, cable access. It's a comedy. A very sarcastic one.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We'll be sending the short around the Hollywood and New York entertainment industry and into a lot of festivals so it would be a lot of exposure
We need a set of TV News ID's made for each show and we need them done by the 14th or 15th. As you can imagine, these should at least resemble legitimate TV news intros/outros and Lower 3rds, but no one expects the graphics to be "3D." Basically, we need to have some movement with a few lens flares and stuff like that. The nice thing is the entire short will be highly branded, and there's room for irony in creating these.
MAIN TWO MOTION GRAPHICS:
The first will be for a mainstream local news program called "OK Action News" that should be a little on the flashier side, but still relatively simple as we'll be playing this on a loop. Here's an example (at about 11 seconds in) of an animated logo we'd like for this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NnQ9…re=related
The second graphic will be the opening news logo for the second news program called "Good News, Oklahoma!" that should feel like a Public Access/PBS news program. And at the top of this clip is an example of the PBS/Public Access news logo we'd like for this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SG2DJTb3_SA
BONUS STILL GRAPHIC:
We would also love to have (if there's time) an "OK Action News Special Report" graphic that we can use when one of the news casters is speaking. 44 seconds into this clip is a good example of that: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ryF8…re=related
