ymhb.1 got their new app design by running a design contest:
Car selling app that allows you to sell your car quick and hassle free!
Check out ymhb.1's App design contest…
The app allows individuals to upload their car (all details, pictures etc). Once uploaded, the individuals car will be sent to car dealers who view it, if they like it they can put in an offer and purchase the car. I've drawn skeleton wire frames to help the designer understand fully.
GOAL: User needs to find the whole process quick, easy and efficient. We do not want them to have to flick between screens and go back and forth. Therefore, designs need to be clean, simple and easy to navigate. User: - People that own cars (17 years and above) - Male and female - Everyone that wants to sell their car (no matter how old or new car is) Style: -Modern -Clean -Sophisticated and elegant -Neutral colours - Simple navigation We have attached a selection of examples of app designs (comments below) to try and give you a feel for the kind of style and simplicity we are looking to achieve with our design, features of particular note: -Colour choices; Simple neutral but bold colours, possibly on a clean white background. 2 max 3 distinct colours at most to aid the simplicity. -Clear screens with out too much going on, user focus should naturally land on the intended function of the screen with its use almost natural in its intuition -Simple clear graphics -Clean lines Definite no's: -Use of images as background and splash screens -Use of blocks e.g. buttons e.t.c, fins these overly fragment the screen and look too busy -overly busy screens with little blank space
Screen 1: Enter car registration Screen 2: Confirm car details Screen 3: Capture users details (name, email, etc) Screen 4: Enter mileage and service history Screen 5: Car specifications Screen 3: Take car pictures Screen 4: Indicate any damage on the car Screen 5: Submit View the uploaded wireframes and user journey to give you a better understanding. Please pick two screens which will best showcase your design skills. The app needs to be very simple and easy of the eye. Colours need to be neutral as this will be used by all age groups and both males and females.
