x264 is the worlds leading video encoding codec used in billions of devices worldwide. It is one of the most successful open source software development projects (https://www.videolan.org/developers/x264.html) and it is used by Netflix, Amazon, YouTube and nearly every other worldwide video platform. It is also used in most consumer video encoding applications, like VLC. Companies using the x264 encoder software can license the software under the open source license or a commercial license. The open source license requires them to publish their source code and the commercial license requires them to pay a license fee that is distributed to the developers who created the x264 software. We need to update the logo for x264 so that it is simple, elegant and readable. The logo will be displayed by the many companies that use the x264 software.
