Arronkin got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Work Destress Clinic needs a new logo
Check out Arronkin's Logo design contest…
My business is a health clinic. It helps people work through the stressful issues that they experience at work. I perform one-on-one sessions with clients giving them a form of alternative medicine (called kinesiology) to help assist them with the underlying causes of their work stress (often emotional in nature).
Logo types to explore
I have attached a VERY ROUGH SKETCH demonstrating the idea I'd like played with. The colours and shape in that example logo are just something I chose (not mandatory). The important thing is the play on words - i.e. I start with "Work Distress Clinic" in the logo and somehow end up with "Work Destress Clinic". My example is only one way you could do it. You could cross out all of "distress" or the "di" in "distress" or just the "i" in "distress". Alternatively, rather than doing any "crossing out', you could have the "di" washed away in the logo. What I mean is have the "di" offset somehow and the "de" in its place, giving the indication that the "di" has been replaced with "de". I really love nature so a couple of the ideas I had were a swooping bird carrying the "di" away and there being the "de" in its place. Or there being a waterfall in the logo with the "di" being washed away and a "de" in its place. I've attached my very rough sketch of what this looks like in my head. Apart from the play on words, you can be as simple or complex with the remainder of the logo as you think is appropriate. I'm pretty open to anything you want to suggest. I have also attached a zipped up version of my sample website. There are two versions - one with the heading up top and another without the heading and some text indicating where I would put the logo, if I decide to put the logo on the website. Ideally I would like to put the logo on there if it fits in. Regardless of that decision, the logo must be complementary in colour and design to the website - consistency of branding/colour is important to me so as to give the first impression of professionalism. I will initially be targetting office workers in the CBD of a large city, so the logo needs to be smart and professional. I am targetting all ages.
