The aim of this competition is for me to start the process of getting a logo and look and feel for my new website. This competition is to design a logo and the main front page for this site. Assuming that I find the right thing here there will be alot of further work for the winning designer, starting almost immediately. I will accept submissions for only the logo or webpage but I would prefer both together.
What's your vision?
Desired Color Scheme: warm australian colours Desired Style: drawing on aspects of web2.0 but warm and welcoming...with a professional feel...(this is hard!) Accepted File Formats: vector for logo, PSD layered for webpage EnjoyAustralia will be a travel and leisure directory covering the following categories in Australia: -Accommodation -Activities, Sports & Leisure -Eating and Drinking -Entertainment -Health & Beauty -Shopping -Tour Operators -Transport -Visitor Attractions -Weddings The website is still under construction so I cannot show any links however functionality will be along the lines of: - totaltravel.com.au - about-australia.com - australianexplorer.com This content has two interlinked aspects: Logo Design ----------- I would like the logo to reflect the most famous aspects of Australia: - the sun - aboriginal art - warmth - fun - great holidays & experience The logo should be easily recognisable and will be transferred onto lots of different media ie print, goods etc. Please have a look at australia.com and westernaustralia.com to see the quality / style of logo that I am looking for... Website Design -------------- The website design component of this contest is for the following: - main front page The website & logo design should be clean and professional drawing on aspects of web2.0 but retaining a warm friendly feel. Here are a few websites that I like the look of http://www.westernaustralia.com (I like the colours on this site, however I don't want a dark background and this design is too cluttered) http://www.enjoyengland.com (I really only like the front page flash section) http://www.contiki.com/ (I like the torn paper effect) Below you can see an image of a basic layout (please don't be mislead by the rounded boxes) that I have put together for the front page however I am open to suggestion. http://www.ortian.com/layout.png I would also like the designer to create and submit icons for the categories listed above. I would also like the designer to create and include a stylised map of australia. It is likely that I will employ a professional map designer later but I need something to help the visualisation of the concept... I want this site to really stand out so please be creative. Please supply any images, fonts etc I would like the logo in vector format and the webpage as a layered PSD. I may also ask for other formats later. This contest was originally listed in multiple categories: - Logo Design - Web Page Design
