Swash the World
Hey guys. I'm a professional poker player and I've decided that I want to go all out and work on a blog. This blog is about my life - the things I do: eat, travel, drink, shoot photos - all from the perspective of a 24 year old poker player (my occupation). I eat and travel all over the world while making money at the sound of a click. I have a bold personality. I tell it like it is and I hold very little back. Honesty and integrity are two virtues I hold very dear. I've got a unique personality and I want to share my views on what I've come across.
I'm a Korean American with red hair. I play poker, shoot photos, eat decadent meals, and I love to have fun. I'm not your ordinary guy and I'd love for this blog to show that. The blogs will be more on the raw and immature side but I will be writing articles on there as well for poker tips and restaurant as well as country reviews.
Swash comes from the word swashbuckler: a swaggering swordsman, soldier, or adventurer; daredevil.
I have a carpe diem attitude towards life. I hope to capture this in the blog. Our lives are too short, we have to live our life to the fullest, daringly, confidently, without fail.
I think it's very important to capture that quality, the almost pirate-like attitude. I eat what I want, drink what I want, do what I want. And most importantly, I love doing it all.
Poker players - Some professional poker players will be reading the blog so they'll have a lot to relate to but really it's the:
Travelers and foodies I want to attract. I've been to a lot of places and when I travel, I don't bother with that nonsense group tour crap. I'm all about seeing the country for what it is, hanging w/the locals, eating their food, not some bullshit course or experience designed for foreigners.
This isn't about prestige or pretentiousness. It's about reporting the truth on countries and restaurants, giving solid recommendations on both, and writing professional trip reports so that eventually I'll have a solid database of what to do and what not to dos.
I'm definitely targeting the younger crowd, the 18-25 year olds who have the time, energy, and PASSION to do all this.
I want something edgy but simple and clean. This website and logo needs to represent a fearless pursuit of adventure. Feel free to have some fun with it. I plan on taking a sometimes professional approach as well as an amateur approach.
Logo needs to be in a wide format.
While poker is an interesting aspect of my life, I actually think it's the least important aspects of the three (food, travel, poker).
Good luck guys!
