141 Industries
141 Industries is a start-up clothing line with a strong social mission (helping children). We are looking for both a way to write our name so that we can put it on the tags of our clothes and website and also for a logo that we will put on the clothes, website, etc.
We are open to all creative ideas and will be very involved throughout the process as your work will be instrumental in shaping our company and products. Have fun with it, we look forward to see what you can come up with.
Our product offering is clothes and for every one piece of clothing bought, we donate a similar article of clothing to an underserved child, most likely serving as a uniform shirt so that the child can go to school and get an education. This model is essentially a One for One model, thus the numbers 141.
Our website has not been developed yet, and the opportunity to do that will also be available to designers that we like.
Target Audience
We will have two routes to market; working with companies (sport teams, charities, and corporations) to supply them with their promotional/marketing clothing needs and directly selling to consumers.
Requirements
We are looking for two things, a way to write our name, 141 Industries, and a logo.
For 141 Industries, we are looking for clear and creative ways to write the name. The purpose of the name of this form would be:
-to have it on the tag of our shirts (tag in the back of the collar where it says small, medium, large)
-to have it on our website and other marketing materials
In terms of logo, we are looking for something very simple, yet recognizable and memorable. We would like something that is classic, yet cool and trendy. Because our product is clothing we need something that is versatile and can be embroidered on a shirt or printed on a tag. The purpose of the logo would be:
-to have it on a polo shirt, either as a bigger logo on the front like a Lacoste, NIKE, etc shirt or a smaller version of the logo on a sleeve
-to have it on our website and other marketing materials
-if it works, we would add it to the tag on our shirt in a very small format, but this is not necessary
As mentioned, we would like to be able to use the name & symbol together, but also individually (i.e. only the name for marketing, or just the symbol as the logo on our shirts). However, they do not need to fit on top of each other, and we are very much open to have them just side by side as two separate pieces, combined when needed.
Text Type:
The 141 stands for One for One, so feel free to spread each number out, have dashes or part of the name interwined, etc. We are not interested in 141 being spelled.
Symbol ideas:
Use your creativity. The key is that it is related to our One for One and/or helping children business model. We are open to all ideas and can work with logos in the format of the NIKE Swoosh or the Lacoste Alligator. We would like the logo to have some sort of meaning, but it can be as simple as an owl symbolizing wisdom, a fox symbolizing cleverness or some sort of infinity symbol symbolizing connections/eternity, etc.
Color:
We are looking for something simple for our logo, so we are not looking for more than a few colors in the logo. We need the logo to be visible when embroidered or printed on something small as well something large. Again, the logo would be printed on the shirt itself as well as the shirt tag.
For the name 141 Industries, no limit on colors. Be creative.
We will need it in the following files:
All standard files, such as
Print file format - .ai (CMYK)
Web file format - .jpg and layered .psd (RGB)
If possible, formats that work with embroidery machines, such as Tajima's ".dst", Melco's ".exp"/".cnd" and Barudan's ".fdr"
Thanks very much. We appreciate you being a part of shaping our company and look forward to all your creative ideas.
