marcie.rogo got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Simple & Modern Logo Needed for Online Companionship/Dating Service for Adults over 50
Check out marcie.rogo's Logo design contest…
Stitch is a an online companionship (not traditional dating) service, targeted to mature adults, who are around 50 or older. The reason Stitch is made for them is that, at this stage in life, you are not necessarily looking for marriage, sex, or romance, which is what all online dating websites assume. The filters are also different, it's not all about your physical age or your photo, height, weight, etc. It's about your common interests, activities, close location, and real compatibility. You can also have multiple companions, some romantic, some not. Stitch literally does that - we stitch people together, and stitching is more thoughtful, not just 1 to 1. It's also more trustworthy and legitimate. Lastly, we do not want to create the pressure of marriage, and be more lighthearted. Note that our target audience feels 10 years younger than they are - most feel between 45 and 55- so this is the age they connect with, regardless of their physical age. So they are not children, but they are NOT elderly, or "old people." They want a modern brand, but it needs to be trustworthy. Furthermore, hearts and traditional dating symbols will NOT work since this is not necessarily about romance, sex and marriage.
Logo types to explore
The logos we uploaded are from our current company, Tapestry, which is the sister company to Stitch. They don't necessarily need to look the same, but to give you an idea of what we already like. Also, the images and sketches I attached are things I like - but I DON'T like the sharp needle - sharp needles won't help us, if there is a needle it needs to be subtle and rounded. I also uploaded a logo called fish n' drink, and i like how it remains simple, clear, but also has an image that represents exactly what it is. Other classic logos that we really like are simple and iconic like Nike, Apple, etc.

And then… they selected 2 winners!
This designer has gone above and beyond in working with me to get the right design. He nailed it on the first try. The patience and creativity was extraordinary. We worked on a few ideas, but in the end, the very first design was the winner. If I could rate 10 stars I would, and I encourage everyone who is looking for inspirational designer to produce YOUR winner, then look no further than BrandGarden. You will be happy you did.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
