Chris did an amazing job on our logo and worked together with us closely to get it right. We did 1 contest and hired a professional ex-Apple designer and still didn't get the results we wanted. We then did a 2nd contest with almost 1,000 entries and Chris won it with his awesome logo!
People love our logo, we always get great remarks about it and it's been featured on VentureBeat, Mashable, Entrepreneur Magazine etc. and been on billboards in San Francisco. People already remember our "G" mark which Chris created.
I'd highly recommend Chris to anyone -- he's the definition of rock star designer.

How Volunteerguy started their logo design journey
I have recently started a blog called cupidsmessenger. It can be found at cupidsmessenger.wordpress.com. The idea is to help people who are romantically challenged to easily identify a venue as romantic. Imagine searching for a restaurant with an easy application online and on your phone and being able to have a romantic experience with minimal effort.
Or walking by a restaurant and seeing the cupidratings sign and instantly identifying it as a romantic place to eat.
We are ultimately building a romance industry which currently does not exist. Romance falls somewhere between Hallmark and the neighborhood sex shop. Having the tools available for individuals to utilize will help everyone with better relationships and increased clientele.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Target audience we have identified are men between 25-55 interested in creating romantic experiences. Though we are not limited to men as we believe that women will utilize the tool as well.
We are looking for a logo that best defines the company in a classy and not cheesy way.
I am not looking for tiny cupids or hearts with arrows through them.
I am open to colors.
I am looking for something that will be easily recognizable graphically and easy to reproduce in multiple format, print, web, embroidered.
Additionally, stars are too common an element to identify a rating...i'm looking for a symbol that would be uniquely identified as a cupidrating location without using the words.
