Take This City
TakeThisCity.com is a web based, social networking community that connects individuals with opportunities to serve their local community. The database we are launching will assimilate needs and service opportunities of all variations around any city and filter the opportunities into a personalized live feed of opportunities sorted by the passions, skills and location of any individual. We intend to mobilize millions of individuals across the US to meet the needs of their local community by making information more accessible and convenient.
We have 2 target markets:
1. Individuals - we want to engage individuals of all types and ages. We anticipate our most involved age groups will be 18-30 and 55-70.
2. Nonprofit Organizations - before we can invite individuals to serve, we must find opportunities or needs in the community. Instead of finding these ourselves, our model is to engage existing Nonprofit Organizations by providing a web based database that they can use to recruit volunteers by posting their service opportunities and needs. This allows individuals to find the organizations in their local community that work in causes related to the individual's passions or skills. Thus, we must attract organizations, as well as individuals.
We are looking for a logo and avatar that will invite and motivate individuals in to a city focused service movement.
We need an edgy new brand that makes people want to take action.
We are looking for a clean design that communicates purpose and adventure.
A City theme of some sort is welcomed, but not mandatory.
2 requirements:
1. We need this logo to work with and without ".com" at the end. We need 2 copies of the logo, one with ".com" and one without.
2. We need an Avatar that can be used as the icon for an iphone app etc.
Join us in changing the face of service in our cities.
I have attached three simple concepts that we like, but need to be improved and developed further. Feel free to run with these concepts.
