The easiest way to buy the right car.
Our current brand is undergoing a makeover, and you might have the winning design that leads us there! In our founding, our services were marketed to a specific niche audience. But over the last decade, we've expanded our audiences. Today, we sell and lease cars to anyone or organization in the marketplace, and our logo needs to reflect that. Our current (and primary) brand expression can be found at mats.org. Our new logo needs to emphasize the MATS service and core distinctive qualities, not a particular market sector. To get there, we're revitalizing our brand and web presence, and are starting with this logo contest. LOOK & FEEL: - Modern in style - Iconic/representational more than literal illustration (i.e. Apple, beepi.com) - Simple, yet elegant - Imaginative (such as hidden meanings, logo title interacting with pictorial logo) ICONS FOR LOGO: After qualifying, we've narrowed our icon direction to a car and a magnifying glass. Stylistically, we'd like the car to be a more playful, rounded, less literal car drawing (like Beepi). CONCEPTS TO TRY: - Illustrated/pictorial logo that is incorporated in the title MATS - Illustrated car (as described above) - Illustrated search/convenience icons (magnifying glass) COLORS: Most online car dealers use some form of blue, so we're curious to create a new palette using similar hues as primary colors. We really like this color of blue: #33abf9. FONTS: We're looking for a nice, clean, modern typeface. Most like a sans serif. Have a custom one you've always wanted to try? We'd love to see it! WORDMARK (TEXT): The prominent text should be MATS, with the slogan as secondary. Do consider the proportions of text, though, as the logo will run at large and small sizes. For our website, we may just use the logo and wordmark without the tagline, so the successful design will be able to work with and without the slogan. // WHAT WE DO: The MATS team are special order, personal car shoppers. We provide best-in-class consulting to find the right fit from our limitless inventory, which we source through auctions across the country. We buy and sell cars both domestically and internationally and, following a thorough inspection and detail, deliver them to our customers' doorsteps. No hassle, no pressure and, best of all, no trips to a dealership! OUR AUDIENCE: Our target audience are educated, busy professionals who are looking to buy a car. They value convenience, are willing to buy a car over email and phone conversations, and use the internet to do research.
Other color requirements
Most online car dealers use some form of blue, so we're curious to create a new palette using similar hues as primary colors. Please be creative, though, with alternate secondary colors.
