RavenRidge Stone Co. located in the gorgeous, up-scale cottage area of Ontario's Muskokas (Ontario, Canada), is a natural stone supplier to the Landscape and Construction industries. The Logo is part of a brand refresh initiative by new management and future growth objectives. The logo will of course roll out into vehicle branding, signage, display models, embroidery, stationery etc.
RavenRidge's stone products include armour stone, flagstone, pebblestone and other natural natural quarried stone that can be used to create a landscaped environment, gardens or outdoor living spaces for homes or commercial applications. The Logo must capture the essence of the natural world, and could feature stone or stone motif(s) to be integrated into the typography.
RavenRidge Stone Co. Logo design
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
Logo must suit all business needs including advertising, letterhead, business cards, website and will convey the Brand essence: clean, simple, elegant, natural, eco-conscious, professional, contemporary.
RavenRidge is a new name for a small, existing Quarry that has been in operation for about 15 years. It plans on doubling it size within 2 years.
There is no existing logo, website or marketing material.
Main competition: LaFarge, Dufferin Aggregates, Oldcastle, Miller Group
Logo should incorporate natual, earth-tone colors, unique, integrated but classy typography and be SIMPLE. Less is more. If there's an iconic element to the logo it must be easy to reproduce for embroidery or other applications.
The logo, if possible, should reflect an environmental/eco stewardship factor to it. Quarries generally have a bad name with homeowners due to their environmental impact. Current color ideas are Rusty/Burnt Orange, Espresso Brown/Black and Warm Grey.
Since the company may expand into other areas (such as Kitchen countertops) the logos should be somewhat generic (i.e. no big armourstone rocks as logos please)
RavenRidge is the dominant name. Stone Co. should visually be much smaller.
We'd also be open to the idea of using a stylized Raven as part of the logo if it suits.
Like the idea of a stylized logo that indicates a "ridge". Something like the Escarpment, Canyon ridge/edge etc.
No red and yellow "construction-like" logos. Many competitors have blue or red & yellow logos.
