Who You Know
Who You Know provides our clients, film and television producers, with top-quality freelance editors and designers. Our goal is simple: to connect our clients with the talent they need at a price they can afford.
But now it's time to expand, and we're looking for just the right logo to do it. As the name implies, we're embracing a play-on-words that are so often used in our industry. With our experience and relationships, we want a logo that reflects Who You Know's ability to connect the right projects with the right people in often impossible timeframes.
Our clients are creative but also forward thinking and business intuitive, so we need something that expresses our the artistic side without crossing the line into camp.. We work with members of the production community that rely on us to meet their needs with both flexibility and speed. We work within an existing space, but we're looking to branch out, bringing in new talent as well as new clients to grow the scope of our services.
Please take note of our starring system below- this should help as a guide to understanding what we are thinking!
Eliminated - Doesn't meet our goals or fit the requirements, not the direction we're looking for.
1 star - Sorry, not at all the look or feel we are looking for.
2 stars - An interesting concept but it doesn't really fit the look and feel of the company.
3 stars - Getting warm, we can see where you are going and would like to see more.
4 stars - This is a good concept and we like the logo. You are almost there.
5 stars - Love the concept and logo. You have made the final cut, fantastic job.
Accepted File Formats: Vector Formats (.eps, .pdf or .ai); Layered Formats (.psd or .tiff)
Play on words, play with text. We're looking for more than just a standard font.
The logo should reflect the creative nature of our industry and the tone of the name. Looking for logos that are both creative but reflect a clean, crisp feel.
Black, white, grayscale scheme.
-Playful and professional, minimalist approach
-Avoid stock images and clip art
-Text should be clean, but be creative.
If you think the winning design is going to be a different font with a different color, please don’t waste your time or ours.
Film cans, film strips, question marks, faces, people, and speech bubbles are not what we’re looking for, This logo may be text only or text focused with a graphical highlight. We don’t feel the typical text and a logo combination will fit. The focal point needs to remain on the text element. Creativity in the text is what will win this contest, something smart that leaves a smile on your face when you see how clever it is.
See examples of text play below.
FEEDBACK:
As I’m sure you can understand, providing feedback in a contest of this size is very difficult and remains almost impossible to respond to every design. We’re in the mode of eliminating designs that we feel don’t meet what we’re looking for and use our star rating system to indicate when we think you’ve found the right direction. PLEASE DON'T TAKE THE ELIMINATION OF YOUR GRAPHIC PERSONALLY!
