American Junior Paint Horse Association
The American Junior Paint Horse Association is the youth association of the American Paint Horse Association. Anyone aged 18 & under (as of January 1st) with an interest in Paint Horses is invited to join the “j”.
The AjPHA offers activities geared toward youth, including a youth leadership conference, art contest, photography contest, short story contest, and horse judging contest.
AjPHA members are part of a huge family of friends sharing a common bond- a love for the American Paint Horse. AjPHA offers something for everyone, no matter how long you have been riding, where you live, or the discipline you enjoy. AjPHA has members who show on a regular basis, members who ride for fun, and even members who don’t own a horse.

She is educated in public schools primarily, but could be home schooled or receive on line education. She wants to belong or be accepted and is competitive. Her parents or another adult supports her in her interests. She is above average intelligence or common sense and has a strong sense of responsibility. She is loyal to the things she’s involved in and, in addition to horses, she is active in school programs and activities, which she must manage in order to get involved. She is seeking an activity that provides for independent activity and social interaction. She needs mentoring in her growth with horses and will seek relationships with others interested in horses. She is instant communication/social media savvy.
