What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
"inspectIT Ocelot" is a open source software tool/component for monitoring software systems and its mainly responsible for data gathering. It is collecting data (monitoring applications/systems) which describes the status of target systems. Using the product, it provides you deep insights in your application and its status (e.g.: Are all systems online? Are all systems behaving as expected? Are there any problems in my systems? ...). The target group are people with a strong technical background (system administrators, dev-ops...) For detailed information: https://github.com/inspectIT/inspectit-ocelot
What colors do you want to see in your design?
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
"inspectIT" is basically the main name of the product and "ocelot" is like a subname (version name). Due to the fact that "ocelot" is also an animal (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ocelot) we want to have this animal as a logo. It also fits in a way because it's basically a cat and a cat is some how sneaking around and is able to find hidden stuff. The logo should be cute, but not too much. It should be possible to use it without any text (for example on a sticker). Furthermore, it should be not too colorful (sure it can have multiple colors but not like a parrot). It would be good (but not required) when the logo does not have "things" (like a magnifier). The logo should not have a lot of details - more minimalistic, so not photo-realistic (see references). Here are some references of other open source product logos where we like the style of them. A similar style like them would be nice, but we are not forcing it - we are open for proposals. - Github: https://github.com/logos - Style Dictionary: https://github.com/amzn/style-dictionary/blob/master/docs/assets/logo.png - Docker: https://i2.wp.com/blog.docker.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/Docker-logo-011.png - Docker: https://www.docker.com/sites/default/files/social/docker_facebook_share.png - Netflix Vector: http://getvector.io/images/logo.png - PollyJS: https://netflix.github.io/pollyjs/assets/images/logo.png
