We need a logo and stationary for an exciting new centre for research and innovation in Christian mission in Europe. Key concepts are: Christian, Europe, Research, Innovate.

nova research centre is an exciting new initiative, which will provide a unique resource to Partner Agencies and the wider Global Mission community. It offers, for the first time within the evangelical Missions domain, dedicated resources to research, innovate and publish on mission within the European context. It is based at Redcliffe College, a mission training centre in Gloucester, UK.

The logo needs to convey the following key concepts:
Christian (it is about mission and Christian work); Europe (the centre focuses on mission in Europe); Research (the primary role of the centre is to research and share the findings/resource others); Innovate (the purpose of research is to stimulate innovative strategic decision making).
Regarding the term 'Christian', we wish to avoid 'institutional' images such as stained glass windows. A cross would be fine if it were more 'conceptual' than blatant.
nova is part of Redcliffe Colleges portfolio of projects; this needs to be reflected in the design, particularly with the corporate colours and typeface. Redcliffe does not have brand guidelines, but you will see the distinctives of our brand through our website (http://www.redcliffe.org). The red tends to be our dominant colour and is very much associated with Redcliffe.
All of our materials reflect the following brand values:

Typeface: Gill Sans Std
Brand colours (Pantone): Red (485C); Green (355C); Blue (300C); Grey (Pantone cool gray 11C). We also use the red, green and blue at 70%.
Design medium
The logo will appear both in electronic and print formats. It needs to work alongside the Redcliffe College logo in terms of the colours used, type layout and orientation of the symbol and text. We will require eps, jpg and gif versions of the logo and it should work right down to a small size on a business card.
Final submissions shall include: logo (in full colour, grey scale, and black and white), business card, letterhead, and compliment slip.
