MUNIGO is a new online brokerage focused on helping people invest in bonds. Bonds are generally considered safer investments than stocks. Unlike other firms that encourage trading (such as Ameritrade, E*Trade, Scottrade), we encourage saving money by investing in very conservative assets. We are building a firm that is the investing equivalent of organic food...good, clean, simple, and pure.
Our audience is affluent, but bonds can be for everyone. Bonds today are difficult to buy online. We are going to make it simple. We want to appeal to the person that is ready to save and live below their means. We want to appeal to people that believe that sleeping well at night is the most important part of living well. Our audience will be approaching 50+ and are concerned about their retirement. We want to encourage investors to not chase trends and keep their investments really simple.
Overview: MUNIGO is a new online brokerage focused on bonds. We bring a new way of thinking and transparency. We would like a logo and splash page that will serve as our primary identity for the next 6 months while we build our service. We would like the splash page to have a place to enter an e-mail address with a submit button that is consistent with the logo. The key themes used in developing our identity should be:
- fresh ideas and thinking
- clarity, transparency, and purity
- new era
One concept we had was a green logo in lowercase with the dot over the letter “i” as a sun with rays coming out of it. The splash page would have slight yellow hue evocative of munigo bringing sunshine to a new industry. Think nature. We are open to many ideas.
There could also be background concepts involving the translucent properties of water invoking the idea of clarity and transparency.
