General Motors Legal & Public Policy
High Performance. High Integrity. (Slogan is optional)
General Motors Legal & Public Policy group is a department within General Motors focused on law and government affairs. Our areas of expertise are covered in 4 primary ways, which I would like to reflect in our logo:
1. Legislation (Working with government)
2. Litigation (Going to court)
3. Regulation (Working with regulators)
4. Contracting (Deal-making)
We are a service center within the company and would like a logo that we can use to brand our presentations, memos, and services. Of course, as our client is primarily General Motors, having some nods to auto would be nice.
I'd like to explore the following colors:
Blues: Knowledge, trust, calm and honesty.
Dark neutrals: Formality, mystery, exclusivity and luxury.
Let designers make suggestions:
I've attached a rough mockup. I want something more modern/cool/abstract. Also, the "rubber stamp" icon must be replaced with a quill or something.
The primary idea is to capture our four areas of expertise: Legislation, Litigation, Regulation, and Contracting. For example, Legislation could be signified by a picture of a Capitol building. Litigation could use a gavel or scales. Regulation could be a set of books (that's the tough one). Contracting could be signified by a quill.
I'd like the logo to be more modern, clean, and simple. Feel free to make use of Latin for the slogan, if you know it.
