onyxscholar got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Maiya Edgerly For Oakland Logo

“An Equitable Education For All”
I am running for Oakland School Board, specifically for a Director's seat. I am a third generation educator and I want my logo to represent the City of Oakland. As a result, Oakland has always a strong sense of community and it's a long tradition of political & social justice activism. I want my logo to appeal to the natives of Oakland, but also to the newcomers who now live in Oakland. In this design, I want the design to be classic and modern, with a Oakland flair.
I want to incorporate roots into my logo because I am a 3rd generation Oakland resident and educator. I know political logo must be standard, but I do want a unique feel to my logo. Something that represents Oakland, my roots and love for education & community.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Logo design starts at €269.

I have used Gabriel a number of times and will continue to do so. His work is always what I am looking for, he's always very quick and incredibly patient when I am asking for changes. I would highly recommend him.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
