XPULT is a small business that sells catapults for use in education. The product is sold via http://www.xpult.com. The catapult launches table tennis balls and allows the user to adjust four different parameters/variables and to observe differences in launch performance.
We have grown steadily and now need to establish a more professional web presence. To begin that process we would like to establish a new graphic identity.
Primary audience: 10-15 year-old children, mostly male, and mostly in the US and UK. These kids use the xpult mostly for school science fair projects.
Secondary audience: university and corporate instructors and students/participants in their courses.
The logo must incorporate the word "xpult" either in the logo itself or in conjunction with the logo. All submissions must include "xpult."
The logo must work well on a plain white background. It will be placed typically in the upper left corner of a plain white web page.
The logo must be easily readable and unambiguously identifiable in a relatively small size (e.g., 50 pixels high by 200 pixels wide) although it may be used in a larger size that this as well.
The logo must be delivered in vector format, preferably Adobe Illustrator or .eps.
See http://www.xpult.com for further product/brand information.
A key challenge is to appeal to a school-age boy as well as to a corporate trainer. The graphic style can certainly be "fun" but it can not communicate "toy."
