On the Fly Chiropractic
Hi, I'm a chiropractor living in Edmonton, Canada who is starting a mobile service called On the Fly Chiropractic. I was raised in Edmonton, but finished my chiropractic education in Melbourne Australia. I lived and worked there for 7 years before coming back to Canada. I haven't found the perfect practice to buy yet, but I need to work.
I'm a chiropractor because I believe that conventional medicine too often focuses on symptoms and the underlying causes of dysfunctional health. I want to educate people on how to better look after themselves so they don't need to turn to drugs and surgery except for as a last resort. My message is in support of preventative measures to avoid crisis.
On the Fly Chiropractic's vision is to provide effective, efficient and safe chiropractic to people who may not have had access to the service before. There are no other mobile chiropractors practicing in Edmonton, giving us this unique market.
This business may last 6 month, a year, or until a great practice becomes available to buy. Until then, I want to get out there and build a strong reputation. I want to provide unparalleled service and really go the extra mile.
As universal as chiropractic is, I believe there is a very specific market that will enlist my services. One will be the client that simply can not get off of the floor due to pain. This is important, but I am more interested in catering to the mother of 3 children under 5 that knows she needs to see the chiropractor, but can't face sitting in a waiting room for an hour while three hungry bodies whine impatiently. Or perhaps the businessman that will be working a 10 hour day, but is desperately looking forward to his 15 minute adjustment at lunch hour.
I suppose I'm looking for the regular chiropractic patient who has become to busy and has not maintained their care. I want to provide an ease of access to people who understand the benefits of chiropractic care.
For this logo, I'm looking for something that I can use for a business card, letterhead, and a website. So hopefully I can get something unique, memorable, simple and versatile. Too much?
When I first pictured On the Fly Chiropractic's logo, I saw a simple black and white side profile of a faceless flying superhero with a well proportioned spinal curve. I envisioned the outline leaving out the ventral portion of his body. I pictured him flying left to right with his outline extending down the left side of the page/card/letterhead. But that's just one idea. I'm anxious to see what the professionals can come up with.
Black and white is simple, but one or 2 colours may add impact.
Thank you for reading and good luck. I'm looking forward to seeing your unique ideas!
