We are a 15 year old Language School based in central Greece. We have state of the art facilities, immense experience, know-how and have been leading the market BUT we are feeling old, tired, boring.
So we decided to re-brand our ourselves. If we were an egg, of perfect shape and size once upon a time, well now, we have decided to break ourselves before the market breaks us.
We do not offer our students language classes; we offer the opportunity to dive into the culture of others. A global culture. Our professors combine know-how and experience with a fun and interactive attitude, teaching students how to go for it through classes that combine grammar, vocabulary, literature, theater, history of art, internet activities and much more. Our students learn to set goals and achieve them. Our goal is turn our organisation around and we need you to help us achieve it.
Our targets are easy to define:
1) Kids, 8-18 years old & their parents
2) University students; we have thousands of them living in our town
3) Adults, who want to improve themselves continuously
Competition, on the other hand, is huge. There is a language school in every corner. So, we want to be different. New, innovative but serious and with experience at the same time.
We will be reaching our customers mainly through online channels & social media. We want to turn this organisation upside down and revive it. We want to enhance our leading position in the market, in the following 18 months.
We are looking for our first point of contact. Our Logo.
The logo/brand identity must have the following attributes:
1) Experience/Culture - We want to inspire
2) Innovation - We are rejuvenating our brand, we are using new media to communicate our brand, we are online, we are interacting. We want a slight touch of madness, non-conformity. We are different.
3) Power/Success/Trust - People need to confide in us.
4) Clear & Modern - We never send mixed messages to our customers. We don't want them to feel confused. We want them to remember us easily.
6) We are a hybrid company - In the language industry, but building culture. In Europe, but based in Greece.
7) We are building a brand, our vision is to grow rapidly
8) The main part of the logo must say: fiore
9) The subtitle must be: languages
10) The logo will be visible on all parts of our identity. Website, business cards, etc. Its our surname.
Feel free to go nuts, get inspired, listen to a TED speach, use colors, or not, who cares. But, give us something that will stamp people's memory and above all, enjoy the process! Just remember, we are in the process of building a long-term successful brand!
Use: Cartoons, Bubbles with symbols, some kind of design trojan horse that help people remember our brand, and that we could also use to base our communication upon it!
But please, do not use flags. :)
