djhomeless got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Logo + Site design for social network
Check out djhomeless's Logo design contest…
New startup requires a logo and site design (homepage + one interior page) for our new social network application. We are looking for simple but elegant designs. The application is not meant to be trendy nor mainstream. Something that looks fun, but not too complex.
What's your vision?
Tagline: search discover share Accepted File Formats: PSD, HTML/CSS This contest is for the homepage design + one interior page, and logo creation for nsyght[dot]com. The winning design will be clean and efficient, without relying on heavy graphics or complex layouts. The eventual code must be xhtml with no use of tables or complex/heavy css. If you are not capable of delivering this, please do not apply. The design must use and embrace bold use of color, and NOT in any way look boxy or formulatic (think php nuke). Candidates who submit templates, please also quote prices for additional sub-page creation. ie the winner will also be asked to create templates for up to 3 additional sub-pages. All sub-pages will follow the same model as the homepage + interior page. The winning logo will be simple, elegant, and a bit funky with eye catching use of color. The first character of the sitename (n) needs to be accentuated in some way to ease the building of standalone icons (icon creation is not required as a part of this contest). Some sites we love the UI and logo of (but do NOT condone borrowing from) are: pownce.com cakephp.com facebook.com stumbleupon.com Template submitters please send me a PMB and I will send you the Visio wireframe of our homepage mockup. Feel free to challenge and suggest alternative views. This contest was originally listed in multiple categories: - Logo Design - Web Page Design (Coded)
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Logo design starts at €269.
