lizowhite got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Logo showing movement, collaboration, for marketing consultant/program manager.
Check out lizowhite's Logo design contest…
I am an independent consultant, leading collaborative teams (technical and creative individuals) in designing, creating and launching new services, partnerships and programs (i.e., I lead designers/devs in creating a new website; I lead writers/marketers in rolling out a new campaign at a nonprofit). My clients are leaders (VP and above) in the high tech and executive directors in the nonprofit sectors, who know where they are going, but need someone to lead key strategic initiatives to get there. Adjectives that describe how I work are: Direct (candor); Collaborative; Scrappy (get the job done); Creative/iterative; Communicative; Influential; team leader/player.
Logo types to explore
My clients are in high tech/internet (younger, male ) as well as nonprofit (older, female), so I need to appeal to both. I am female, in my mid/late forties so want to suggest maturity. I love my company name (AdvanceThis). To me, "advance" means to advance or move forward; and "this" refers to a strategy, program, or campaign I am helping a team or leader "advance". I would like the logo to subtly suggest movement (advancing/moving forward), fluidity, as well as strength/stability/groundedness. I think would like a logo where the words "advance" and "this" are treated differently, but equal: they are interdependent and in my business, there would be no "advance" without the "this". I like orange/grey (without being too much like halloween, or the San Francisco Giants). It's also easy to make the logo look like AmericanAirlines, which I don't like. Too much black feels harsh. Examples of logos I like are "Storyhouse creative" (http://storyhousecreative.com/); "NG design" (http://ngdesignassociates.com/); and "Taproot foundation" (http://www.taprootfoundation.org/). I will mostly be using my logo in the footer on emails, LinkedIn, invoices, business card, and tend to like logos that are simpler in nature (not busy). I do not yet have a website, but hope to create one at some point. I do own the domain http://www.advancethis.com. Thank you!
