The designer was very responsive and paid attention to my vision from the beginning and direction during the initial design phase. I would definitely work with this designer again.
How ReineComm started their logo design journey
My name is Michelle Leroux, I own a PR consulting firm called Reine Communications. Reine is my middle name, it means Queen in French. I am a one-person show with clients ranging from conservative hotel properties like the Pan Pacific Vancouver to the artistically driven and edgy snowboard brand Endeavor Snowboards. I love snow and have had a snowflake tattoo since I was 18. A lot of my clients are travel / ski & snowboard industry focused. I also work on event promotion - film festivals, photo contests, Crankworx mtn bike events etc. I have been doing more and more work in social media strategy as well - running the accounts to teaching workshops to newbies on Twitter / Facebook etc..
I am a content person, not a technical person. I (Michelle Leroux) am somewhat of a brand in Whistler and the ski industry - a lot of people know me and my work. I like to be cheeky and push things a little. I really love being the connector, relationships are huge in what I do and I am always thankful to the media for coverage I get. I am a very passionate and hard worker and people like me. Straight forward and honest. My current website is conservative / cluttered and boring.

For attracting new clients:
This is both for youth focused ski and snowboard / mountain bike industry (35%) and travel / hotel / event clients (65%). Clients I have worked with include Whistler Blackcomb, Kokanee Crankworx, Pan Pacific Vancouver, Whistler Film Festival, Deep Summer Photo Challenge, Endeavor Snowboards, Airhole Face Masks. A lot about mountain culture.
For media consumption:
I will be targeting the media with this logo as well. So, I want to convey some of my personality and aesthetic. The media I work with are usually edgy, kind of cynical, not very affluent but very well-traveled, cultured and intelligent. The media I deal with don't suffer fools. A lot of them are very involved in ski/snow industry or the travel media industry.
I want a clean and simple logo...I currently have a wordmark right now but would be open to having some kind of representative icon. I will be using this logo on my website / Twitter avatar, facebook business page so if logo includes some kind of graphic that should work without the words (Reine Communications) as my icon. The title of my business is rather long so having something that could represent my brand without the name or just with Reine would be great. I am about mountain culture / nature / snow. Not city or street graffiti. Not too sophisticated. Approachable and fun.
