How Stephen Tidwell started their logo design journey
StatementLine.com will provide telephone interview services through out the U.S., primarily to the insurance industry, via a web based solution. The philosophy is to alleviate our clients burden of scheduling and conducting telephone interviews, which can be exceedingly time consuming, with the click of a mouse.
Within the industry there are two major methods of gathering information one is through telephone statements, the other is in person interviews. When a potential client sees our logo I want them to think “telephone statement”.
We will be needing letterhead and brochure work done soon, so the winner will get first crack at that.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Our target audience is primarily insurance companies. They tend to be rather conservative so we want to keep the logo more corporate and business like.
I don’t want to drive the preliminary design effort too much but I have been thinking of some type of image that evokes telephone usage, maybe a stylized telephone, switchboard, telephone poles with wires, etc. But let your creative juices flow. The best design is probably something I would never think of, that’s why we need your help.
Our company is offering a high tech solution to an industry that is traditionally embraces low tech solutions, so a retro look might be appealing.
To fit the allotted space in the web site the logo should be more horizontal than vertical but with that said the name StatementLine.com is rather lengthy so it might be adventitious to stack “Statement” above “Line” to help shorten it. And I would like to see examples with and without “.com” at the end of StatementLine.
The logo needs to scale well and work in color or mono tones.
Contest winner must provide modifiable vector-based image files.
We are looking for original work, no clip art or stock artwork, and all design rights will be transferred to us.
