A partner and I are launching a Microsoft-related technology business. We seek a slick, simple, corporate logo that incorporates our company name, and conveys professional competency. I am not going to put the name of the company here in the text, because we don't want it indexed on 99designs; but the initials of the (4 word, including inc) are RDSI.
Instead, i have attached a JPEG graphic file with the name of the company imbedded it won't be indexed by the search engines. When our customers "Google" our company name, we don't want them ending up here instead of on our site, down the road.
The logo design needs to incorporate the four words (the text) in the attached jpeg. You pick the "font"; and create the logo around those words. It could turn out to be as simple as some kind of digitization effect, or symbol of data around the text. Or, just the right font and a little bit of a design touch.
I've held quite a few contests on sitepoint in the past, they were all successful because i give quick, accurate feedback on all the excellent submissions. I was also featured on CBS TV interview in San Francisco with Matt, Sitepoint's founder (the video is on this site, and on StartupTrek.net).
I'm looking forward to another great contest with this one!
Our customers are corporations that are seeking help with deploying Microsoft's cutting-edge Office Communications server and Windows Server related technology in their enterprises.
We are located near Microsoft Corporate headquarters, in Redmond WA and "Redmond" is in our company name. So we probably want to create a red logo; a corporate shade of Red. Blue would be a safe second choice.
We want to use just one emphasis color, probably red, so that it can be printed on a business card / brochure / direct mail without requiring a 4-color print process. We want the aspect ration of the logo to be no greater than 2:1, or 1:2 (depending upon whether it's wider than it is tall, or vice versa).
We require that the completed logo be delivered in Adobe Illustrator (.ai) format, full layered with no fonts required. It must be a vector, not a raster graphic with paths for the text (as opposed to using font files).
We look forward to responding promptly to every entry, over the next week. Thanks for your interest, and we're looking forward to seeing some our new corporate identify come together!
