yvespeirsman got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Logo for language technology startup
Check out yvespeirsman's Logo design contest…
We are a startup that develops software to extract knowledge from text. In this way we help people in other companies work with large collections of text more efficiently. For example: our software classifies news articles by topic, identifies whether a movie review is positive or negative, finds the most important sentences in a text, etc. Find out more on our website www.nlp.town.
The design of our current logo refers to the roofs in a town (from the name NLP Town) as well as to computational analyses of sentences (see here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parse_tree), but it does not look professional enough. You may choose to build on this design, or you may start completely from scratch.

99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Qianzy provided us a design that was a thoughtful and innovative interpretation of our original brief. He was very responsive to follow-up questions and comments.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
